The camera roll
You’ll take hundreds of photos on this trip. But how many will have everyone in them?
A blur of sandy feet. Someone squinting. Three of your daughter mid-cartwheel and none of you beside her.
It isn’t a failure of documentation — it’s that you were the one documenting. For one evening of this vacation, you don’t have to be.
The experience
You’re not spending your vacation at a photoshoot.
Give me forty-five minutes around golden hour — one evening, one stretch of coastline, in between the boat trip and dinner.
I choose the location that suits your family and the light that night, watch the sunset times, and tell you when to meet me. A short questionnaire and styling notes reach you before you fly, so nobody packs in a panic.
Then I direct gently and mostly stay out of the way. You walk, you carry the small one, you talk to each other. That’s the session.
And Mom — this part is for you
You were here too.
You booked the villa. You packed the sunscreen and the snacks and the one stuffed animal that couldn’t stay home. You are in almost none of the pictures.
In twenty years your children will look for you in these photographs — not for a perfect version of you, but for the way you held them that week. So we’ll photograph you with them. Properly.

Before you worry about it
You don’t need to be good at photos.
The kids can be kids
They’re allowed to run, dig, climb on their father, refuse to look at me, and get completely sandy. I photograph children the way they actually are at the end of a beach day — half wild, half sleepy, holding somebody’s hand. No toddler has ever ruined a gallery.
You don’t need to know how to pose
Someone in your family is dreading this — usually a husband, sometimes a twelve-year-old. What they picture is forty-five minutes of standing in a row, smiling on command. It isn’t that. We walk, we talk about the trip, I ask your kids embarrassing questions about their parents. Most people forget I’m working about six minutes in.

Practical questions
What if it rains?
Caribbean rain usually passes in twenty minutes. I watch the radar on the day and we either wait it out or move to another evening of your trip. If the weather refuses to cooperate for your whole stay, you’re refunded in full.
When should we book?
As soon as your flights are confirmed. December through April fills first, and I photograph a limited number of vacation families each week. If your dates are close, ask anyway — I sometimes have one evening left.
Where do sessions take place?
Across Grand Cayman — Seven Mile Beach, Smith Cove, Starfish Point, Barkers, and a few quieter stretches I keep for families with small children. I recommend a location based on where you’re staying, your children’s ages, and the light that week.
What should we wear?
I send styling guidance once you book — soft neutrals, natural fabrics, nothing anyone has to be careful in. You don’t need to buy new outfits, and children are allowed to be barefoot.
When will we receive our gallery?
Five to ten sneak peeks within 48 hours, usually before you fly home. The complete curated gallery — typically more than 100 edited photographs, high resolution, with printing rights — follows within three weeks.
Your vacation will end.
These photographs won’t.
The suitcases get unpacked.
The kids go back to school.
And eventually this trip becomes,
“Remember when we went to Cayman?”
Let’s give you something beautiful to remember it by.
